KUALA LUMPUR:The Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN) unanimously passed the Johor Budget 2021 amounting to RM1.857 billion today.

That dispelled various allegations and expectations of chaos at the Johor DUN session following recent political developments.

Datuk Hasni Mohammad's position as Menteri Besar was said to be shaky if the Johor 2021 Budget fails to get the support of the State Assemblymen (ADUN).

If he fails, his position will be challenged and may at the same time suffer the same fate as the former Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

The Johor Budget 2021 with the theme 'Resilient for Prosperity' was presented by the Menteri Besar on November 26.

This budget has a deficit of RM248.14 million after it recorded a budget surplus for 10 consecutive years previously.

This is due to the projected state revenue of RM 1.609 billion while the projected expenditure is RM1.857 billion.
