Doctors confirmed that both men, aged 56 and 57 died of heart failure, said Jamil
Two Malaysians died in the Holy land this haj season due to heart failure and not because of MERS-CoV, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom Jamil Khir.
He said both of them were men, one aged 56 and the other 57. Doctors attending to them confirmed they died of heart failure, he told reporters here today.
He added that Tabung Haji (TH), which manages Malaysian pilgrims in the Holy Land, was well equipped and had expert medical staff to look into their health needs and was taking extra precautions in view of the MERS-CoV outbreak in Saudi Arabia and Ebola in Africa.
