Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has called on Malaysians to vote for the wonder goal scored by Mohd Faiz Subri which has been listed for FIFA 2016 Puskas Award, the award for the most spectacular goal.
There is a very good chance for Faiz Subri to clinch the world's most spectacular goal award after having been shortlisted among the 10 likely winners who will be determined by open voting via the internet.
According to Khairy, Malaysians should make this vote go viral rather than using the internet for unworthy things like condemning people.
"This time they should use their viral expertise to help Faiz Subri as he needs our votes. I also hope the people would support and vote for Faiz Subri," he said when met at the MyCorps@Timur Tengah programme yesterday.
FIFA in its website, www.fifa.com has shortlisted 10 most attractive goals scored from Sept 30, 2015 to Sept 30, 2016 for the FIFA Puskas Award including the gravity-defying goal scored by Faiz.
