Girl, 6, dies after falling from fourth floor of flat

A six-year-old girl died after falling from her fourth floor flat at Kem Batu 10 near here at 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Kuantan police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said the girl was left alone at home by her father who had gone out fetch her siblings from school while her mother was at work.

"Some witnesses saw the child trying to climb over the balcony before falling," he told Bernama.

He said the girl suffered serious head and body injuries and died at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital here at 7.30pm.

"The child's identity is not available yet and investigations are ongoing," he added.
