Girl, 2, missing: Cops detain 3 men to help in probe

The police have detained three men in connection with the disappearance of a two-year-old girl from a hotel in Taman Pelangi here early this month.
Johor Baru (South) district police chief ACP Sulaiman Salleh who confirmed the arrest said the trio comprised a cook, labourer and an unemployed, aged between 30 and 33.
He said two of the suspects were nabbed on Dec 11, while the other was picked up five days later.
One man had five criminal records while another had a drug record, he said when contacted yesterday.
According to 'NUR Alert', Angie Tiong was reported missing from the hotel in Jalan Maju on Dec 10.
The girl's disappearance was posted through the official Facebook page of the Education Ministry yesterday.
The NUR Alert System was set up by the government to help locate missing children under 12.
