Four more schools in Kelantan have been added to the list that will begin their 2015 schooling session on Jan 18 due to the floods.

The Gua Musang Education Office told Astro AWANI on Saturday, the additional schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pasir Tumboh, SK Bihai, SK Tohoi and SK Pasir Linggi.

Yesterday, the Education Ministry in a statement announced the postponement of the 2014 schooling session for four schools in Kelantan namely SMK Dabong, SK Dabong, SK Kemubu and SK Lela Jasa.

It said this is because the schools were affected by the floods or used as relief centres.

However the announcement received the ire of netizens who said many other schools in the state were still in no condition to receive students on Jan 11 due to the floods.

Among the schools affected Sekolah Kebangsaan Sokor (Tanah Merah), Sekolah Menengah Tanah Merah 1, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Laloh (Kuala Krai) which had not been thoroughly cleaned as its water and electricity supply has yet to be connected.

Photos of the school in deplorable condition had also been shared by school teacher, Raja Shamri, through his Facebook post on Saturday.
