Form Five student escapes kidnap attempt in Seri Kembangan

A Form Five female student survived an abduction attempt while returning from school near her home in Taman Universiti Indah, Seri Kembangan, yesterday.

Serdang district police chief, ACP Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias said in the 3.30pm incident, the 17-year-old girl was followed by a man in a car when she was walking alone in the housing area.

"After approaching the girl, the man tried to pull the victim into his car, which was parked on a lane.

"The victim screamed for help and fought the man off before he fled," he told Bernama when contacted today.

No arrest had been made so far, he added.
