Five UMNO members dismissed for sabotaging the party

Its president, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the decision was made after the committee agreed that all of them have violated the party’s discipline.

The five individuals were Bahrim Abdullah from the UMNO Kuala Pilah Division, Abdul Mohsin Mohamad Shariff and Mohamad Amri of UMNO Tasek Gelugor division, Mohamad Azrith Amri of the UMNO Machang Division, Hasan Bahri Mat Isa of the UMNO Jempol Division and Zulkifli Zakaria of the UMNO Bachok Division.

Najib said any appeal can only be done at certain intervals depending on the results provided by the disciplinary committee.

"In certain cases the disciplinary committee is satisfied that they have violated the party's discipline. The individual can appeal but there must be an 'edah'. Following the 'edah' the individual can appeal hwoever this depends on the management committee and the committee itself".

He said this during a press conference after chairing the Umno Supreme Council meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
