Father of two claims trial to criminal intimidation of ex-girlfriend

A father of two was charged in the magistrate's court here today, with intention to outrage the modesty of an ex-girlfriend in October.

Freelance painter Christopher Kelawing, 45, pleaded not guilty.

He was alleged to have outraged the modesty of a 28-year-old analyst by sending her obscene photos and videos via an e-mail at an office premises in Bukit Bintang here at 8.30am on Oct 14.

Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Noorelynna Hanim Abd Halim offered bail at RM7,000 in one surety.

The accused who was represented by counsel, P. Muniswer asked for a lower bail as he had two children and did not have a regular income.

Magistrate Ahmad Solihin Abd Wahid allowed bail of RM3,500 in one surety and fixed Jan 10 for re-mention. -- Bernama
