Eight Malaysian climbers who had to defer their plans to scale Mount Everest following the earthquake in Nepal on April 25 will arrive home tomorrow (Sunday).
The Malaysia Airlines flight carrying the group who are members of Pertubuhan Kembara Amal (PeKA) will touch down at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Sepang at 6.50am.
The organisation said today through its Facebook, that the group comprising four men, Jasmi Jantan, Zamri, Shahidan and Zakaria, and four women, Satyiana, Zuraini, Aminah and Mazlina, had set off for Mt Everest on April 20.
PeKA secretary, Jasmi had earlier assured families and friends through his facebook that the group was safe. According to him, they were heading to Base Camp when the disaster occurred.
The earthquake measuring 7.9 on the Richter scale has claimed more than 6,600 lives while 14,000 were reported to be injured.
