Drug addict cuts off foot of 89-year-old woman in Pasir Mas

A 89-year-old woman had her left foot cut off by a drug addict at her home after she refused to give him money.

In the incident which took place at Kg Tanjong Rendang, Lemal, Pasir Mas, the suspect went to the house of the victim, Mek Som Mat Diah, asking for money.

When she refused, the 19-year-old suspect had punched her face, forcing the victim to fall.

The victim later told police that only after falling did she notice that the suspect was holding a sharp object which he then used to slash her left foot, severing her ankle.

Her screams of pain alerted neighbours who then took her to the Pasir Mas Hospital for treatment.

The suspect was apprehended and handed over to the police.
