The Sessions Court here today ordered a pathologist at Tuanku Mizan Military Hospital (HATTM), Colonel Dr R. Kunaseegaran, to be brought before the court on Oct 6 in connection with the case involving the use of HATTM equipment without the hospital's knowledge.

The 52-year-old doctor is currently in remand at the Sungai Buloh Prison for abetting seven other men in the murder of deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Anthony Kevin Morais last Sept 4.

Judge Slamat Yahya made the order following an application for an Order to Produce (OTP) by counsel Syazlin Mansor, representing Dr Kunaseegaran, for his client to be produced in court for mention of his case involving six counts of using HATTM equipment without the hospital's knowledge.

DPP from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Mohammed Heikal Ismail, did not object to it.

On all six counts, Dr Kunaseegaran was charged with using equipment belonging to HATTM, which included 'Microtome', 'Microtome Rotary System' and 'Circular Parafin Floating Bath' without the hospital's knowledge.

The offence was allegedly committed at No 23 and No 26 Empire Gallery, Jalan Empayar through Jalan Sultan Ibrahim, Klang near here, in June 2010 and April 2012.

The charge, under Section 403 of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment for up to five years and whipping and is liable to fine, if found guilty.
