Destiny pub attack: Revenge could be the motive, police say

Police believe revenge is the motive for the attack and murder of three people outside the Destiny pub in Solaris Dutamas last week.

Sentul police chief ACP R.Munusamy said police are still investigating the incident and said they will be making several arrests soon.

He said apart from the six detained, police have also recorded statement from 16 individuals.

Munusamy said police have also beefed up the security and surveillance in the area to avoid similar incidents from occurring.

He said police are also monitoring areas which could be targeted by the Daesh militants.

“We are currently studying the CCTV recording and monitoring the suspects. I believe we will be making more arrests soon,” he said.

In the incident, two people were hacked to death at a pub at Solaris Dutamas while another victim died in the hospital.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
