PETALING JAYA: Veteran actress Normah Damanhuri’s daughter, Rose Azlin Rosli, was fined RM10,000 by the Magistrate’s Court here today for possession and selling of a product, known as KM Sampah Cleanse, that is not registered with the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Magistrate M. Bharat meted out the fine on Rose Azlin, 46, who represented KM Beauty House, after she pleaded guilty to the charge.
She paid the fine.
Rose Azlin was charged with possession of 99 packets of the KM Sampah Cleanse product with intention to sell them at Chamomile Beauty House, Jalan SS19/6, Subang Jaya, near here, at 11.20 am last Jan 21.
In doing so, she had breached Regulation 7(1)(a) of the Control of Drugs and Cosmetic Regulations 1984.
In mitigation, Rose Azlin, unrepresented, said at that time, she was awaiting MOH approval for the product.
However, prosecuting officer Mohd Helmi Azman, from the Pharmaceutical Service Division of the Selangor Health Department, said the product had been advertised on social websites then.
