SHAH ALAM: The Selangor PAS Youth Council (DPPNS) has denied reports by several news portals claiming that state PAS Youth chief Hanafi Zulkapli was in critical condition at the COVID-19 Low-Risk Quarantine and Treatment Centre in Taman Ekspo Pertanian Malaysia Serdang (MAEPS).
DPPNS secretary Muhammad Hanif Jamaluddin said Hanafi was transferred to the Sungai Buloh Hospital on Thursday as he was weak following a persistent fever since he was first admitted to the quarantine centre.
"Alhamdulillah, so far Ustaz Hanafi is in good condition, only a little weak because he still has a fever.
"The information that said he was critical is not accurate. He is just weak due to the fever he has had from the day he entered MAEPS," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Muhammad Hanif said so far, Hanafi's wife and four children are also undergoing quarantine at home.
Earlier, several news portals reported that Hanafi was in critical condition after testing positive for COVID-19.
