COVID-19: Malaysia's new cases rise to 6,210

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has registered a total 6,210 new COVID-19 cases, detected in the last 24 hours.
In a Twitter post, Health Director-General Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said this takes the total number of infections to 2,413,592 since the start of the pandemic.
According to him, the positivity rate today was 4.28 per cent of test results involving 145,258 individuals.
Of the total, 24,687 individuals tested through RT-PCR, 72,897 through RTK-Ag (P) and 47,674 tested through RTK-Ag (K).
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said a total of 22,047,448 individuals or 94.2 per cent of the adult population in the country have completed their COVID-19 vaccination as of yesterday.
Further details on the number of new cases according to states, will be shared by the Health Ministry on its COVIDNOW portal.
