COVID-19: 822 new cases with two deaths recorded today

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Health has informed that there was an increase of 822 new COVID-19 cases recorded today bringing the total number of cases in the country to 42,872 cases.
According to the Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, out of that number, seven are imported cases involving one citizen and six non-citizens.
Sabah still recorded the highest daily cases with 259 cases (31.5 per cent) followed by the state in the Klang Valley with 202 cases (24.6 per cent).
Meanwhile, active cases with infectiousness also increased to 11,497 cases, and the daily recovery cases recorded a total of 769 cases making the cumulative number of recovered cases is 31,073 cases (72.5 percent).
To date, there are 86 positive cases being treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 30 cases requiring respiratory assistance.
There was an increase of two deaths recorded today, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 302 cases.

• Sabah: 258 cases • Negeri Sembilan: 225 cases
• Selangor: 176 cases
• Federal Territory of Labuan: 46 cases
• Penang: 26 cases • Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur: 17 cases
• Kedah: 17 cases • Sarawak: 14 cases
• Perak: 14 cases from existing clusters.
• Johor: 10 cases • Melaka: Six (6) cases from existing clusters.
• Federal Territory of Putrajaya: Three cases from existing clusters.
• Perlis: Two cases from existing clusters.
• Kelantan: One case from an existing cluster.
