COVID-19: 3,339 new infections, active cases reaching 38,000

Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the new cases bring a total of 37,782 active cases currently undergoing treatment, with Selangor still recording the highest number of new cases with 1,314.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 3,339 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a statement said 3,324 were local contagion cases while 15 others were import cases.
With the addition of the new cases, it brings a total of 37,782 active cases currently undergoing treatment.
Selangor still recorded the highest number of new cases with 1,314, followed by Sabah (393) and Johor (362).
The Ministry of Health also informed that a total of seven deaths were recorded, thus bringing the death toll to 601.
Meanwhile, there were 2,676 recovery cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of cases recovered to 120,051.
