KUALA LUMPUR: Caretaker Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, today called on the people to continue to pray for the country to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Let’s pray that we are all always protected by Allah from the COVID-19 virus, and given the strength to face the tests and challenges brought about by this pandemic.
“Hopefully, the situation will gradually improve, and the country of Malaysia that we love will always remain peaceful, prosperous and rise to be stronger than before, Insya-Allah,” he said, through a post on his official Facebook account.
Muhyiddin said that by being guided by the path of Allah, the Quran and the sunnah, he was confident and believed that life would be calmer and more meaningful.
“Do not do what you feel is right. Do what Allah says is right. To Allah we surrender,” he said.
In the meantime, he advised the people to always take proactive measures, and each individual is responsible to ensure safety and health when in public, including in mosques and other public areas.
“Alhamdulillah, today I was able to perform Friday prayers at the Saidina Umar Al-Khattab Mosque, Bukit Damansara, with other congregants, in compliance with the strict standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he said.
