Cadbury continue to be positive despite controversies
Consumers need to have confidence in the halal status of Cadbury products which has been in the market for the past 40 years.
According to Mondelez Malaysia Managing Director, Sunil Sethi, as Cadbury's distributor in Malaysia, the quality standard and halal status of Cadbury products has never been compromised by the company.
This is shown by the establishment of the Internal Halal Special Committee for the past 10 years to ensure every part of the production process complies with the Islamic Law.
In an interview with Astro AWANI, Sunil said Mondelez is now focusing on gaining consumers’ confidence towards Cadbury products.
He said, the company is not focusing on the loss incurred, but instead their priority at the moment is to gain the consumers’ trust back.
Sunil at the same time refused to elaborate on the allegation that there was an element of sabotage in the issue.
He however said that, all quarters should ensure that the same issue does not repeat.
To consumers who are still in doubt, Sunil reiterate that the product is 100% halal.
