Close call for seven as bus plunges into ravine

Seven people cheated death when a bus lost control and plunged into a ravine at KM436 near the Sungai Buaya exit in Rawang along the North-South Expressway (PLUS) near here, early this morning.
Hulu Selangor district police chief, Supt R. Supramaniam said the bus with five passengers and two drivers was involved in the accident at about 6.30am when the driver lost control of the vehicle.
"The bus travelling from Penang to Kuala Lumpur reportedly crashed into the left side of the road and plunged into a ravine on the edge of the road.
"Furthermore, it was reported to be raining heavily at the time of the accident," he told Bernama here today.
Supramaniam said there was no loss of life reported and those injured were sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
