A five-year-old boy was found burnt, while his grandfather and cousin, who was a disabled person, suffered burns after their wooden house was razed in a fire this morning.

According to a statement from the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department, the incident occurred at Jalan Tuaran Bypass, Kampung Inanam Laut Kalansanan, near here at 11.26am.

A team from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station arrived at the scene four minutes later and managed to control the blaze at about 11.51am.

The 60-year-old grandfather suffered burns on his palms, soles and back, while the six-year-old disabled girl suffered burns on the face.

The cause of the fire was being investigated while the body of the boy had been sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, for a post-mortem.

The other two victims had been sent to the Likas Hospital for treatment.
