Body of Malaysian killed in Shanghai stampede to arrive Monday

The body of Tan Wei, a Malaysian student killed in the new year stampede at Chen Yi Square, Shanghai, China will be brought back to Malaysia tomorrow.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement today said, a prayer ceremony and for people to pay last respects was held at a crematorium in Shanghai.
"Tan Wei's parents will be accompanying body to Malaysia which is scheduled arrive tomorrow evening at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport," the statement said.

In the new year celebration in Shanghai, Tan Wei, a university student in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, was killed while another Malaysian student was injured in the stampede which took 36 lives.
The injured student, Ooi Hooi Yi, is still being treated at the Changzheng Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
