Anti-GST activists arrested at Customs headquarters

Police detained a number of activists of the Gabungan Bantah Cukai Barangan dan Perkhidmatan (GST) following the submission of a memorandum of protest against GST to the Federal Territories Customs complex in Petaling Jaya early this morning.
Among those reported to be arrested was Parti Sosialis Malaysia secretary General, S. Arutchelvan and olidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) founder, Badrul Hisham Shaharin

Clashes occurred between the secretariat of the Gabungan Bantah Cukai Barangan dan Perkhidmatan (GST) and the police during the submission of the memorandum to the Customs.
Earlier a member of SAMM had said that the memorandum was their last effort as the peoples objection of the GST was ignored by Putrajaya.
A police source had confirmed the arrests however declined to reveal the number of those arrested.
