AirAsia plane skidded off runway at airport in Kota Bharu

The incident occured when the A320 Airbus scheduled to depart from Kota Bharu to Kuala Lumpur skidded while taxiing before take-off.
An AirAsia aircraft flight AK6443 reportly skidded at the runway of the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport in Kota Bharu, Kelantan at around 10.25pm Tuesday.
The incident occurred when the A320 Airbus scheduled to depart from Kota Bharu to Kuala Lumpur skidded while taxiing before take-off.
The matter was confirmed by AirAsia in a statement issued shortly after the incident.
It said that all passengers and crew on board the flight are safe and no injuries have been reported.
The statement also said that flight AK6446 from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu has been cancelled.
"AirAsia will keep all affected guests informed on the latest departure time," said AirAsia.
