Agong, Raja Permaisuri extend condolences to family of former national shooter

KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have expressed their condolences to the family of former national shooter Muslifah Zulkifli, who died of lung infection today.
Their Majesties said that they were saddened by Muslifah's passing, and hoped that her family would be patient and resolute in facing this situation.
"Their Majesties prayed that the soul of the deceased be showered with blessings by Allah, and placed among the believers.
"Their Majesties appreciate and praise highly her service, deeds and sacrifices for the country," according to a statement posted on Istana Negara's Facebook today.
Muslifah, 35, was involved in the Podium Programme from 2015 to 2017.
She won a bronze medal in the women's team 50m rifle prone event in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon South Korea with Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi and Nur Ayuni Farhana Abdul Halim and represented the country at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland in the women's 50m prone rifle and 50m rifle (three positions) events.
Her former coach, Zamil Ahmad Murad said she drew her last breath at about 2.30 am at Penang Gleneagles Hospital after receiving treatment for almost two months.
