306 entries vie for top award at MMA 2015

The Malaysian Media Awards (MMA) returns for its 11th consecutive year in a glitzy ceremony set to take place at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.
Organised by the Media Specialists Association (MSA), this installment sees a total of 306 entries vying for the major awards.
MMA was initiated to publicly recognise and reward excellent works and achievements that have delivered exceptional results through strategic brilliance and innovative execution.
Aptly theme, 'Back to the Future' the ceremony aims to highlight rapid digitalisation of the industry and the need for stakeholders to be future ready and focused.
"This is a journey we have to take together if we want to accelerate our industry and country's growth, and be on par with other leading international markets," said MMA2015 chairman, Bala Pomaleh.

The list of categories in MMA 2015 include Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC)-audited newspaper/magazine, television/cinema screen, digital (online/ interactive/ mobile), radio/ audio, digital performing marketing, social media, sponsorship, out of home media/ point of sale, activation/ events, branded content, small budget (under RM100,000), and best integrated media campaign.
Apart from the 12 categories, the award also features three special awards for Agency of the Year, Advertiser of the Year award and the Grand Prix.

The panel boasts 42 members from various agencies including the MSA, Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), Malaysian Digital Association (MDA) as well as MMA2015 sponsors.
