3 dead, 6 injured including MACC staff in 2 separate accidents

The four MACC staff including the van driver who were heading to Bintulu from Kuching sustained minor injuries.
Three people died while six others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Mukah and Sarikei, yesterday.
Mukah district police chief, DSP Jimmy Panyau said lorry driver Edin Mil, 22, from Kapit and one of his passengers, Jacky Jasam, 23, from Betong perished while another passenger Augustine Donul Gasan, 19, from Miri sustained light injuries in a self accident at Km 7, Jalan Mukah-Balingian around 7.30pm.
In the other incident along Jalan Sarikei-Betong about 16.8 km from Sarikei town, around 4.10pm, a woman died while her husband sustained a broken leg when their Proton Saga collided with a van carrying four Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission personnel aged between 26 and 36 years.
Sarikei district police chief Supt Mat Jusoh Muhammad said trader Normadiah Awie, 57, and Samarin Mat, 57, who was driving the car, were heading to Kabong from Sibu when the van skidded on the slippery road following heavy downpour, and veered into the opposite lane, hitting the couple''s vehicle.
