A fourth person with a Datuk title was remanded at the Putrajaya magistrate's court to assist in the 1MDB probe.
A fourth person with a Datuk title was remanded at the Putrajaya magistrate's court to assist in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) probe.
The Datuk is detained to assist in the probe on SRC International Sdn Bhd, an entity said to be involved in 1MDB.
The 48-year-old managing director was detained in Kuala Lumpur, Friday evening.
Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Ab Rahman allowed remand of four days although Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecutor Ahmad Sazilee Abdul Khairy had requested for seven days.
Meanwhile at the same court, the second individual who was remanded to assist in the 1MDB probe was released with a RM100,000 bail.
The individual with a Datuk title was remanded on Wednesday.
On Monday the special task force nabbed their first suspect at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The individual, also with a Datuk title was released on a RM100,000 bail on Friday.
On Friday, a trading company owner was remanded four days to help in the probe of SRC International Sdn Bhd. He is the third individual to be detained by the special task force investigating 1MDB.
The remand order against the 28-year-old individual was issued by Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman at the Magistrates Court under Section 16(a) of the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009.
