"Avatar" star Sam Worthington is set to star in Discovery's upcoming drama "Manifesto" reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The actor will star opposite Paul Bettany in the eight-episode series, which is being co-produced by Kevin Spacey.

The drama will tell the story of how the FBI captured Ted Kaczynski, to be played by Bettany, one of the most infamous criminal masterminds in the world.

Worthington will play FBI agent Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald, one of the most decorated profilers in the history of the bureau, whose radical approach to intelligence brought Kaczynski to justice.

Known for his leading role in "Avatar," Worthington can currently be seen in Mel Gibson's "Hacksaw Ridge."

"Manifesto" will be the actor's first major leading U.S. TV role.

A premiere date for Manifesto has not yet been set.
