Rock legend Datuk Ramli Sarip, also known as "PapaRock", will be in Perak next month to entertain loyal fans as part of the "Blues Buat Teman" tour which started last January.

Ramli said he hoped the concert would be regarded as a journey of soul and music and would be appreciated.

"The concert will be for about three hours and we promise to deliver the best, along with The Soul Journey, a local band which consists of people who have been in the industry for more than 35 years", he told a press conference on the Blues Buat Teman Tour held in collaboration with the People of Respected Talent (PORT) here on Friday.

Ramli, who has released 12 solo albums and regarded as the pioneer of rock movement in Singapore, also said he hoped to find some local talents from the music workshop to be conducted by himself and few of his friends on March 22.

Meanwhile, PORT executive board member Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin said PORT would support the creative initiative taken by Ramli to help his friends in the music industry.

He said the music workshop would be limited to only 150 participants.

The concert will be held on March 22 at Kinta Riverfront Hotel here. The ticket price is RM53 each and can be purchased at PORT as well as selected outlets in Perak.

The concert will also feature, among others, local artists such as Man Kidal, Tom Anuar Roza Rasul and Perak-born Mus May.
