Former Bond star was willing to do everything to help save daughter Charlotte, 41, who died recently from ovarian cancer.

"Pierce was willing to pick up the phone and call anyone, go anywhere, take her anywhere, do anything for her at anytime,” says Lisa Paulsen, president of the Entertainment Industry Foundation who was quoted in People magazine.

Charlotte lost her three-year battle with the disease on June 28 despite efforts by Brosnan to get his daughter the latest clinical trials.

"Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl," Brosnan told People.

Brosnan's first wife Cassandra Harris also died from the disease in 1991. Charlotte is believed to be in the fourth generation in her family to get ovarian cancer.

Paulsen added, "I told Pierce, 'Despite the fact that Charlotte didn't end up benefiting from long-term new ovarian cancer therapies, so many things that you have done have led to so many discoveries,.' He's a remarkable and loving father, and Charlotte was such a trooper."
