'OlaBola' rakes in RM2.5 million in first four days of screening

The film 'OlaBola' has raked in RM2.5 million in its first four days of screening.
The film 'OlaBola' which was released on Jan 28 in 126 screens nationwide as well as in Brunei, has raked in RM2.5 million in its first four days of screening.
Astro chief operating officer Henry Tan said the movie directed by Chiu Keng Guan had received good support and positive reaction from all Malaysians.
"In fact, OlaBola has also had a major impact on social media and has trended on Twitter as many as six times.
"What's remarkable is the tweets have been coming from people of all walks of life in Malaysian," he said in a statement here tonight.
Henry said the film did not only depict football, but also highlighted the spirit and unity which existed in Malaysia.
He said the film had the perfect storyline, which was suitable for all levels of society.
Inspired by a true story, the film tells the tale of national football players who brought honour to Malaysia when they qualified for the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, Russia.
The film features popular actor Bront Palarae, as well as the 27th Malaysian Film Festival's Best Actor award winner, Frankie Lee.
