Felixia claims to have received her Muslim name through a dream
Model and media personality Felixia Yeap chose July 3 as the day of her conversion to Islam. However, there was no media coverage during the event today.
She said to be fair, all media will not be allowed to attend and witness her declaration of the 'shahadah'.
This morning, there was some confusion and a bit of commotion when the media were falsely informed of the time and place for Felixia's conversion ceremony.

She, however, said she didn't know about the commotion and wanted the irresponsible party to stop spreading rumours.
Meanwhile, July 3 was chosen because it symbolises the 'rebirth' of herself a Muslim woman, she said.
In her official blog Felixiayeap.blogspot.com, she explained her life experiences and how she became intrigued and interested to convert to Islam.

"The first time I watched a video of a woman's conversion and declaration of the 'shahadah', I couldn't stop crying. For me, she is lucky because Allah SWT chose to save her," the 28-year-old wrote in her post.
She also said she would retain her Chinese name that was given by her mother.
"I'm just adding my new name, the name that came to me in my dream, in front of my original name," she added.
