The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Amanda Seyfried ("Les Misérables") is interested in playing a farmer's girlfriend in Seth MacFarlane's "A Million Ways to Die in the West."

Twenty-seven-year-old Seyfried will join Charlize Theron as well as MacFarlane for this Western comedy. The film will be the author/director's second foray into cinema after his success last summer with the irreverent "Ted."

MacFarlane, who created the animated series "Family Guy" and American Dad," will play a farmer who has been abandoned by his girlfriend after an act of cowardice. He will try and get her back with the help of a famous outlaw's wife played by Charlize Theron.

Filming on "A Million Ways to Die in the West" will start in May. Before then, Seth MacFarlane will host the 85th Academy Awards on February 24.
