IN the midst of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, images of destruction, devastation and desolation reach us every day. However, one of the most viewed videos on social media since the beginning of the war is that of a young Ukrainian girl in a bunker and her moving rendition of "Let It Go."

Resounding like an echo of a previous life, in these complex times the scene in question takes on a new emotional intensity. Inside a dilapidated bomb shelter in Kyiv, a video posted on Facebook on Thursday, March 3, shows a young Ukrainian girl singing the famous song "Let It Go" from the Disney film "Frozen."

In this short video, children, old women and men are seen gathered in a narrow bunker. At the end of the girl's performance, everyone applauds the unexpected moment. Even the men couldn't hold back their tears, according to Marta Smekhova, who filmed the scene.

Along with thousands of other internet users, the singer of the original song, Idina Menzel, also reacted on Twitter, by posting her support for the girl and her fellow Ukrainians. Named Amelia, this young Ukrainian has spoken of her dream of becoming a singer and performing on major stages around the world.

Across social networks, the video now totals more than 20 million views.
