After pleading guilty to 71 counts of child sex offences, Richard Huckle on Monday was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 25 years.
It was a decision netizens describe as unfair.
The Britain pedophile has already spent 488 days in jail, so he only faces more than 23 years of imprisonment before a parole board can consider his release.
This raises questions on the proportionality of the punishment compared to his heinous crime of not only raping the children but also sharing more than 1,000 photos online.
Some netizens suggested life sentence without any possibility of parole or even death penalty for Huckle as they feel such punishments are necessary to stop him from returning to the society.

On Monday, judge Peter Rook had served Huckle 22 life sentences to be served concurrently.
As Huckle was led away after the sentencing, a woman sitting in the public gallery shouted, “a thousand deaths is too good for you!”
