Ahmed and his family is scheduled to leave America in a few days.
The Texas teenager arrested after a homemade clock he brought to school was mistaken for a bomb, Ahmed Mohamed, has decided to move to Qatar.
Ahmed, 14, and his family made the decision after they agreed to accept an offer from Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.
The Doha based foundation offered Ahmed a place at the Young Innovators Program, which covers full scholarship from secondary to tertiary level education.
Ahmed who visited Doha last month, said he loved the city and thinks that it's very modern.
Ahmed and his family is scheduled to leave America in a few days.
Last September, Ahmed was detained after a teacher mistook the clock for a bomb. The arrest sparked outrage and sympathy in the social media, and was considered as racist, due to Ahmed's background as a Muslim.
The Sudanese-American teenager also received outpouring support from mega companies like Twitter and 3M, as well as being mentioned by prominent figures such as United States President, Barack Obama and Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg.
