Three women were injured after a 50-metre stretch of the first-floor ceiling at Jem shopping mall in Jurong East, here collapsed on Wednesday night.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the three, who sustained minor injuries, were sent to the National University Hospital.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

The mall, the first lifestyle hub in western Singapore with the integration of shopping, entertainment and residence at the same location, was offically opened on June 15, this year.
