Serangan Charleston: Suspek ditahan, media sosial dibanjiri ucapan takziah

Suspek serangan yang meragut sembilan nyawa di Charleston semalam, ditahan dan diletakkan di bawah jagaan Biro Penyiasatan Persekutuan, (FBI) lapor AFP.
Menurut pihak berkuasa Carolina Utara, suspek yang dikenal pasti sebagai Dylan Roof, 21 telah diterbangkan ke South Carolina untuk berdepan dakwaan menembak mati sembilan mangsa ketika satu upacara keagamaan di gereja Emanuel Anne.
Roof dilapor ditahan ketika berhenti di lebuhraya Shelby di North Carolina iaitu hanya beberapa kilometer daripada lokasi kejadian
Siasatan awal pihak polis mendapati Roof sempat menyusup dalam kalangan jemaah gereja hampir sejam sebelum melakukan serangan tersebut.
Bukan itu sahaja, suspek turut didapati memakai baju kalis peluru oleh pihak polis ketika dibawa untuk siasatan lanjut.
"Sekarang adalah masa untuk berkabung, sebelum itu, kita sebagai sebuah negara maju perlu menerima hakikat bahawa tindakan keganasan sebegini akan tetap berlaku,” kata Presiden Amerika Syarikat, Barack Obama dalam satu sidang media.
Dalam perkembangan yang sama, para netizen tidak melepaskan peluang untuk melahirkan pandangan mereka terhadap serangan tersebut.
Kebanyakan kalangan pengamal media sosial melahirkan takziah kepada keluarga mangsa dan menyeru pihak bertanggungjawab untuk menghentikan jenayah bersifat perkauman.
