RIYADH: The Saudi Arabia Public Security on Monday advised Muslims not to be influenced by fake advertisements offering Hajj services on social media platforms.
According to the Saudi Arabian News Agency (SPA) quoting the statement of the General Directorate of Public Security of Saudi Arabia, the fake advertisements aim to mislead and deceive the public about services provided through unknown individuals or agencies.
Among the services promised through the advertisements are arranging Hajj for third parties, preparing and distributing sacrificial animals for pilgrims, and providing transportation services.
He also said that any business on the matter could be done through the project's official website adahi.org, or other official electronic platforms such as the Ehsan platform or authorised branches.
"Enforcement and penalties will be imposed on anyone who violates the law", he said.
