Rico died of bomb attack while being summonsed by police

It appeared that Rico Hermawan had been fated to meet his death during the bomb explosion and gun attack at Jalan MH Thamrin here, last Thursday.
A few seconds before the incident, Rico, 21, was summoned by police at the police booth for riding a motorcycle against the traffic flow with his cousin, Anggun Kartikasari, 24.
He was sending Anggun to attend a job interview at the nearby building when suddenly the explosion occurred.
He died at the scene, while Anggun was seriously injured and received treatment at a hospital.
According to one of Rico's relatives, Didi, he was alerted of the incident after visiting Anggun who was still weak and traumatised.

Rico worked as a guard at the Hospital Polis Republik Indonesia mortuary.
His body was sent to the same mortuary for a post-morterm.
His remains were then handed over to his family last night for burial at Boyalali, Central Java.
Rico's uncle, Sigit, said the whole family was saddened by the incident and declined to elaborate further.
He became aware of the incident when his nephew's name was read in a television news as one of the victims in the bomb explosion incident.
He also received a phone call from the police and subsequently rushed to Jakarta to identify Rico's body.
Metro Jaya district police public relations officer, M. Iqbal confirmed that Rico was one of the civilians who died in the incident as the recording appeared in a closed-circuit television (CCTV) near the police booth.
Seven people died in the attacks on Thursday morning, including five suspected terrorists, while more than 30 people, including five policemen were seriously injured.
