A Malaysia Airlines flight from London to Kuala Lumpur made a turn back to Heathrow last night after it experienced a technical defect on one of its doors.
In a statement on its website, the airline said the MH1 flight that took off from Heathrow experienced the technical issue while inflight over Germany.
However, it said that the noise and vibration from the door was of no immediate risk.
"The aircraft is due to land in London Heathrow and will be evaluated by engineering staff and Airbus technical staff.
"In the interest of passenger safety, the flight captain decided to return to Heathrow Airport," said Malaysia Airlines.
