Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah will fly into Singapore tomorrow to attend the late Lee Kuan Yew's State Funeral on Sunday, said Malaysian High Commissioner to Singapore Datuk
Husni Zai Yaacob.

Husni Zai said the king was scheduled to arrive at 5pm. Kuan Yew, the Founding Prime Minister of Singapore died on Monday at the age of 91.

His Majesty would be among the foreign leaders and diplomats from around the world to attend the Funeral Service at the University Cultural Centre (UCC), the National University of Singapore from 2pm to 5.15pm on Sunday.

It was earlier reported Indonesian President Joko Widodo, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, South Korean President Park Guen-Hye, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would also be in attendance.

British Leader of the House of Commons and First Secretary of State William Hague would be representing the United Kingdom.

As the lying-in-state of Kuan Yew at Parliament House continues into its final day, scores of people braced the heat and queued up for hours to pay their last respects to him.

As of today at 11am, the cumulative figures for the number of visitors to the Lying-in-State was 230,000, and the number condolence cards at both Istana and Parliament House was 100,166.

Separately, former Indonesian Presidents Susilo Bambang Yudoyhono and Megawati Sukarnoputri paid their respects to Kuan Yew at the Parliament House.

They were received by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and wife, Ho Ching.

Earlier in his Facebook post, Hsien Loong, Kuan Yew's son said he was deeply moved by the overwhelming response of people wanting to visit his father’s Lying in State at Parliament House.
