MOSCOW: At least 60 people experienced food poisoning at the Singapore office of ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, reported Sputnik citing a report by the Straits Times news agency.

The report quoted the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and the Ministry of Health.

On Tuesday, the Singapore Civil Defence Force received several calls asking for medical assistance and 17 ambulances arrived at the scene, the report said. Those affected experienced abdominal pain and vomiting, and were taken to hospitals after consuming food from the same source, the report added.

The SFA and the Health Ministry reportedly told the news agency that they were investigating cases of suspected gastroenteritis. As of July 30, 57 of the 60 people who developed symptoms of gastroenteritis sought medical care in hospitals, the report read.
