REDtone gets LOA for RM88.57 million job from MCMC

REDtone International Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary, REDtone Marketing Sdn Bhd today received a letter of award (LOA) from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for a project

worth RM88.57 million.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the LOA was for a project to build, operate and maintain radio access network (RAN) infrastructure in rural areas in Sarawak and Johor as part of MCMC’s Time 3 Programme.

MCMC’s RAN Sharing Time 3 Phase 3 Programme is aimed at further providing voice and data connectivity in the rural areas of the country.

The company said the commencement date of the contract will be from the date of the LOA, which is Dec 9, 2014.

"The contract will contribute positively to the financial performance of REDtone Group for the financial year ending May 31, 2015 and the next two financial years," it added.
