The Auditor-General's Report 2014 Series 1 tabled in Parliament today, comprised 51 performance audits and 16 management audits of government companies that have been implemented at the federal and state levels.

Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang said the audit comprised details of construction, maintenance, procurement, programmes, revenue management, social, security, agriculture, sports, supplies, livestock, services and management of companies.

"Today the National Audit Department will also give a briefing on the key issues raised in the report to the members of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) at Dewan Rakyat," he said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur.

He said as usual, all the heads of departments concerned were informed in advance about the matters raised in the report for verification purposes.

Ambrin said to improve weaknesses reported, 84 recommendations were made for Federal Government level, 17 for (Statutory Bodies), 112 (State Government) and submitted by the Audit Department.
