MEBA 2023 recognises top business leaders, organisations in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 30 Malaysian Entrepreneurs were honored at the “Malaysia Excellence Business Awards 2023 (MEBA 2023).”

The seventh annual awards ceremony, which was organised by Malaysia Digital Chamber of Commerce (MDCC) and supported by Asia Pacific Business Council for Sustainability, aimed to celebrate outstanding achievements among industry players who have remained resilient in their businesses and contributed to nation-building despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Themed Pivoting With Greater Strength, this year’s edition sees a lineup of highly-renowned nominees - which consists of experts shedding light on researches and issues that have shaped MDCC business.

MEBA 2023 presented awards to winners on Wednesday in a prestigious award ceremony held at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.

Winners were chosen on their endless crusade to demonstrate business innovations that are driven by people and culture, not only in technology and processes, therefore creating a series of results-driven culture to manage, accelerate and sustain digital innovation.

Essentially, measures were taken to let people stay - and if possible - work - at home, we noticed the same uptake of digital tools and platforms. Furthermore, internet traffic also peaked as people started working, collaborating, shopping, learning, and seeking ways to relax at home.

Bearing the theme Pivoting With Greater Strength, this year’s event sees a lineup of highly-renowned nominees which consists of experts shedding light on research and issues that shape our business.

The awards programme was curated to recognize and support brilliant business innovators tackling the new way of doing business in the unprecedented time.

MEBA 2023, recognises companies in a niche zone of players both regional and global markets for demonstrating resilience yet be able to leverage on volatile grounds by excelling in leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.

Over the years, MEBA has celebrated and recognised top leaders, entrepreneurs, captains of industries and outstanding organisations in Malaysia.

The Awards criteria will look at Vision and Leadership, Corporate Performance, Global Competitiveness, Innovative Business Achievements and Sustainability Initiative.

The Patron and Royal Guest of Honour who graced the ceremony was Selangor Tengku Laksamana, Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj.

Among the companies who bagged the MEBA 2023 awards were 24-hour news and current affairs channel, Astro AWANI, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, SMECorp Malaysia, Institute Jantung Negara, Miri Port Authority and many more.
