About 78% of Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) alumni have said they will help increase the domestic and international work force this year.

According to a study done by EY on 200 EOY alumni, 73% of female entrepreneurs want to increase the workforce in the domestic market.

This is higher than the 69% of male entrepreneurs who want to increase their workforce.

The study says the increase of workforce is to accommodate growth of products and services.

It also shows that female entrepreneurs are more confident in the economy’s pace compared to their male counterparts.

Global Vice Chair of Strategic Growth Markets for Ernst & Young Global, Maria Pinelli says that even though there are uncertainties in the global economy, their entrepreneurial attitude should be praised.

“You continue to inspire us. This is because we are here. We hear your needs and we are aware that want to continue to discuss with your colleagues to find a way to make a change,”

Pinelli adds, entrepreneurs must continue to be the agent of change and improve the standard of living in their respective countries.

This includes the creation of quality jobs.
